As a Research Staff Director at TargetPoint, Sam manages research and MicroTargeting strategy for several of TargetPoint’s political, association, and non-profit clients. She specializes in targeted message strategies aimed at persuading conservative audiences on progressive and center-right issues and has done work for advocacy clients including Save the Children Action Network, Voices for National Service, American Unity Fund and Independent Sector.
During the 2018 cycle, Sam was named to Campaigns & Elections class of Rising Stars for her work managing more than a dozen contested House and Senate campaigns.
In both the 2018 and the 2016 election Sam managed voter targeting efforts for some of the nation’s largest independent groups on the right and helped define target audiences for digital, TV, mail, and phone contact efforts.
Sam also directs staff projects and client deliverables managing the projects day-to-day work flow with her team. As part of her work, she specializes in data visualization.
Before coming on board at TargetPoint, Sam worked in Michigan politics where she was most recently the Political Director for Paul Mitchell for Congress. She worked as a consultant at the Michigan-based polling firm Mitchell Research & Communications, and has served in a number of other campaign roles including campaign manager for Andrea Larkin for 54B District Court Judge and on the 2012 senate race for Clark Durant for U.S. Senate.
Sam graduated from Michigan State University’s James Madison College and currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband Michael and their dog Huck.
